Anno is a new live experience for string orchestra, electronics and visuals which combines new writing by one of the most exciting, innovative and idiosyncratic composers of today's generation, Anna Meredith, with movements from one of the most dramatic, influential and celebrated pieces of music ever written, Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

Co-commissioned by Scottish Ensemble and Spitalfields Music, Anno is the combination of new pieces by classical-electronic composer and performer Anna Meredith (BBC Proms / BBC SSO / Sinfonia ViVA / Moshi Moshi / Warp), new visuals by illustrator and visual artist Eleanor Meredith and movements from Vivaldi's instantly recognisable Four Seasons concerti.

After a world premiere at Oval Space in London as part of the Spitalfields Music Summer Festival 2016, Anno will be performed in Glasgow and Edinburgh in November 2016.
